Heat Pump Installer Websites

Terms of service

Last updated 23 October 2026

1. Who we are

Heat Pump Installer Websites is a trading name of Chade O'Brien, a sole trader based in Yorkshire ("we", "us"). Contact: hello@heatpumpinstallerwebsites.co.uk. These terms apply when you ("you", the client) sign up to a plan.

2. Business customers only

Our plans are for businesses. By signing up you confirm you're acting for your business and not as a consumer.

3. What you get

Website plan: a multi page website for your business, hosting, security, backups, grant information kept in line with Ofgem guidance, up to two small edits a month and a monthly report on visits and enquiries.

Growth plan: everything in the Website plan, plus a new service or area page each month, Google Business Profile posts, a way to ask customers for reviews and monthly SEO improvements.

A small edit is a change that takes up to 30 minutes, such as updating text, prices, photos or contact details. Bigger changes are quoted separately and only go ahead if you agree.

4. Getting started

After you sign up, we ask for your logo, photos, MCS certificate number, the areas you cover and your domain details. We aim to have your site live within 24 hours of receiving everything we need. If you don't have a domain, we'll help you register one in your name at your cost.

5. Price and payment

Plans are paid monthly in advance by card through Stripe. Your first month is free. Your first payment is taken 30 days after you sign up, then every month after that. Prices exclude VAT. We are not VAT registered, so no VAT is currently charged. If that changes, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice, and you can cancel before a change takes effect.

6. Minimum term and cancelling

The minimum term is two months: the free first month and one paid month. Cancelling during the free month doesn't cancel the first payment. After the minimum term you can cancel at any time by emailing us, with 30 days' notice. We can end the service with 30 days' notice, or straight away if you break these terms in a serious way.

7. Missed payments

If a payment fails, Stripe will retry it and email you. If it's still unpaid 14 days after it was due, we may take your site offline until it's paid.

8. Your content and claims

You confirm you have the right to use the logos, photos, reviews and text you give us. You're responsible for the accuracy of what your site says about your business, including your MCS certification, accreditations, prices and the work you do. We'll keep grant information in line with Ofgem and GOV.UK guidance, but eligibility decisions and quotes for your customers are yours.

9. Who owns what

Your domain is registered in your name and stays yours. Content you supply stays yours. The site design and code are ours, and you have the right to use them while you're on a plan. If you leave, we'll give you a copy of your site's pages and content on request and help you point your domain elsewhere.

10. What we don't promise

We work to keep your site online, accurate and well placed in search, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted service, particular search rankings or a number of enquiries.

11. Liability

Our total liability to you is limited to the fees you've paid us in the three months before the claim. We aren't liable for indirect loss or loss of profit, revenue or business. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

12. Data protection

Our own use of personal data is explained in our privacy notice. When your website collects enquiries from your customers, we handle that data on your behalf as your processor. We only use it to run your site and pass enquiries to you, keep it secure, use only reputable providers to host it, help you respond to requests from your customers about their data, tell you without delay about any data breach, and delete or return it when you leave.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll email you at least 30 days before a change affects you.

14. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
